This ePortfolio hosts samples of work from my undergraduate career. I am a first-generation, nontraditional graduate. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from the University of Cincinnati in April 2020. A liberal arts degree at UC combines three minors and/or certificates into one degree. My focus was on professional writing, web development, and journalism.

I am a Cincinnati native, and I am passionate about astronomy and Cincinnati history. Because of these passions, I have volunteered over 200 hours in the community. I volunteered at the Cincinnati Museum Center, helping staff Tower A, the original control tower for Union Terminal. I met visitors from all over the world, and I educated them on Union Terminal and Cincinnati history.

I also interned with and then volunteered at Cincinnati Astronomical Society, an astronomy club based in Cleves, Ohio. I helped with outreach and the society’s program for children, CAS Kids. I gave presentations on various astronomy topics, including artificial satellites and spectroscopy.

My time volunteering for and working with organizations in Cincinnati instilled in me a desire to transfer my professional writing and web development skills into efficient and effective content management for an organization that enriches its surrounding community. I want my work to make a difference.
